A pleasure to deal with from start to finish.
Turned up to look at a car without an appointment, Terry was very accommodating and made time for me to take the vehicle on a test drive. He wasn't at all pushy which is nice in comparison to previous experiences elsewhere. Once I had agreed to purchase the vehicle on the Friday, the team at MTM had it in the workshop for a service and MOT and it was ready to collect at the start of the following week.
Can't fault their service or the car, would certainly use them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Excellent service
We have been using the garage for about 40 years now and have several cars from them over the years. Terry and Mark are always extremely pleasant and professional to work with. The recent car I bought from them is perfect for my needs and Terry spent a long time with me explaining how everything worked on it. Nothing is too much trouble for them and I know that I can go back to them for any further explanations. The car was prepared to a very high standard.

MTM the real deal
From phoning for directions to arrival to view and test drive the beautifully presented car mark and the team at MTM were super friendly and helpful and I was even given a proper mug of coffee to drink whilst looking the car over all my questions were answered to my satisfaction the car had been throughly valeted serviced and belts changed as per mileage specifications. A deal was quickly reached after my test drive and I received delivery of the car 1 week later as agreed with a fault free 12 months MOT 2 keys warranty and service history. The level of pre sales work carried out on the car so it was perfect was amazing nothing was missed. I have had to call upon the warranty for a minor issue that was quickly identified and resolved within days at no cost to myself, If your looking to buy a used car I highly recommend you visit MTM I wish all dealers worked to this trusted level of competence. From the valeting team mechanics sales team and owners thank you for a above and beyond service and after sales . 10/10

Highly recommended - and I don't say that lightly
I definitely would recommend MTM. Never dealt with them before, despite their proximity to me, but they were absolutely great. Terry, the partner who sold me the car, gave me lots of information and plausible advice (I'd never owned a Volvo before). He was upfront about the very few niggles with the vehicle (e.g. a parcel shelf missing), which were all quickly attended to and told me if I had any queries after the sale to come straight back. I did have a couple of queries - again, quickly answered or easily resolved. He took me patiently through the entire dashboard (you get a lot of stuff for your money with Volvo cars!) and set up anything I needed (phone, for instance). The car was IMMACULATELY presented when I picked it up. It looked new. These are people who really care about customer service and fill you full of genuine trust, which is rare in the motor trade. I wish I'd gone to them years ago, to be honest.

Terry couldn\'t have been more helpful throughout the entire buying process, which we did from the other side of the country ( so don\'t be put off if your not local)! Personalised video of car outlining its condition very very honestly, vehicle serviced with new cam belt, battery and a few additional points all done for free to bring it up to their high standards of prep. Valeted, mot\'d and supplied with a great warranty.....even collected us from the station in the next town. Small issue since (not their fault), but again sorted by them without any quibble or fuss. Fantastic, frendly, honest service, thanks guys.

Excellent Service and Excellent Cars
I cannot fault the team at MTM Motors Cumbers Garage. They were attentive to my needs at all times and extremely courteous. Everything about the vehicle was explained to me clearly and nothing was too much trouble for either of the owners. They even went to the post office to tax it for me as the classification of it being registered as a disabled vehicle needed to be changed, which could only be done in person at the post office. The car was pristine when I picked it up. The car is absolutely perfect and every time I drive it I have a big smile on my face. Thank you for making everything so easy. Even better I was able to buy from a local dealer, which in turn supports my local economy.

A very pleasant car buying experience.
Gave them a call to enquire about one of their advertised cars and had a friendly chat about it. Agreed to go and look at it, and when we got there the car was all ready for us to look at and test drive, which we did. Happy with our inspection and drive we discussed buying it. We weren't given any hard sell on an extra warranty (it came with one in the price), nor extra GAP insurance, or any other add-ons. I had noticed the car had an outstanding recall and MTM got that sorted as well as a fresh MOT. We were kept up to date over the next week while the work was carried out and a day was agreed to come and collect it (and pay for it). On collection the car was super clean and after paying and sorting out the paperwork, including paying the VED online there and then, we drove away happy. Next time we need to buy a car we'll definitely look to see if MTM happen to have a suitable one

What an experience we've had buying our latest car! Never been to MTM Motors before but went on a recommendation from a friend who had bought at least three cars from them. We turned up at MTM Motors after being to most of the local secondhand car dealers. We were struggling and not enjoying the experience of looking for our next car. For us there are more interesting things we could be doing with our time. Then we met Mark and Terry and that was it, all things changed from there. It started to become an enjoyable experience, with Mark and Terry making it fun. We've come away with a fantastic car that we are so thrilled with. Nothing was too much trouble for Mark and Terry, they wanted to make sure we were completely happy, no hard sell. They want you to go away with the car that is right for you. It seems that most costumers come back to buy their next car from them too. That's pretty good isn't it? We did however have a problem with the passenger door lock to our new car but they were straight on it and made sure it was fixed properly and quickly, nothing was too much trouble. Wish we had found MTM Motors before. We feel we are now part of the MTM Motors family and shall be definitely returning to them for our next car whenever that will be.

Make MTM Motors your first call when looking to buy a secondhand car
They did everything right from start to finish! Having made an appointment to see a car, all my questions were answered, with explanations as to why I could rely both on the car, and their continued support, allaying all my fears about buying a secondhand car The car was beautifully presented, MOT, full service, valeted with a 3 month warranty. I was offered the opportunity of taking a further 12 months warranty, which Mark organised, also dealing with the DVLA paperwork, and at my request taxing the car. All that remained was for me to take home delivery, and insure it. Mark arrived promptly, and with infinite patience talked me through everything I wanted to know about my car, both, it's technology and the practicality of driving it.

An honest garage with a good attitude towards their customers.
I found a Volvo model online at Mtm Motors that I was looking for and agreed to travel down from Norfolk to buy it provided its condition was as advertised. Terry assured me it was, so I made the long journey. Terry was correct and I bought the car and travelled back to Norfolk the same day, one of my better car buying experiences.

Terry, Mark and the team at MTM Motors were great right from the get go. After seeing a car of interest on AutoTrader I rang with some questions and to see if it was still available. I had my questions answered in detail right away and there was not a hint of any pushy sale tactics etc. We put a refundable deposit on the car to hold it and set a date to travel down to see it. Took the car for a test drive and was really pleased with the condition of the car. It had been valeted well and the purchase process was easy and smooth. After a couple of weeks a minor issue came up on the car so I contacted MTM and they paid for it to be resolved without question which really impressed me. Highly recommended and they will be the first place I check when next looking for a car.

I cannot rate this garage any higher, I was shocked by the service from the 1st telephone call, it gave us confidence even before we looked at the car, when we arrived Mark was so busy but you were still acknowledged and kept on checking on us, while serving another customer, the car was in top condition and matched the photos, the test drive was explained of where to go (as not really knowing area) . We came back from test drive and was offered if we wanted car on ramps to view underneath, never been offered that before, car explained and gone through . We are very unsure when buying a vehicle as been stung in the past . We put a deposit on car, agreed what they would do to the new one, of which not all was asked for, again shocked . After a few days all works their end were completed, new service, cam belt , MOT, unfortunately our end wasn't ready and I expected a problem, couldn't be further from the truth, so accommodating, again pleasantly surprised . Our end came together so contacted the garage on a Saturday, Terry answered, amazing response, asked to call first thing on Monday as they had alot of cars already going out, not a problem at all arranged a time, car sat there waiting to go cleaned to an inch of its life, not a spec on it, felt like we were buying a new car .The service you get from this garage is the best I have ever experienced and can't recommend high enough, so if you see a car from this garage you "won't" be disappointed, you really do feel your sale from their side is of utmost importance to them . I feel if we have any issues with the car they would be dealt with, with the same professionalism we have had from the first phone call thank you M.T.M Motors.

Superlative service from start to finish. Mark and Terry (the dynamic duo) were extremely professional and competent, and they were cheerful and patient when I asked them to sort some documentation which I had mislaid. They enabled this major purchase to be carried out in a relaxing and pleasant manner, and they even know how I like my coffee (black with milk!). No overt selling, just what we needed, dealt with, and handled quickly, smoothly and hassle free. Insisted we took a test drive, then got her PDI'ed, taxed and MOTed quickly and efficiently knowing when our deadlines were. Even swapped the cherished plates onto the car and gave the dog some water! Sometimes it really is the small things. Makes a change from the usual "nahh mate" nonsense one gets from the usual car shop type places. Very good. Thanks Guys.

MTM Motors is a 'gem' of a garage, tucked away in the lovely town of Brixham. It was the first time we had visited, and we were greeted in a friendly, courteous manner, and didn't feel pressurised to purchase at all. We found that all our questions were answered honestly, and that we were given all the relevant information. We were given the opportunity to trial out the car in as soon as we asked to do so, and once we'd made the decision to buy the car it was prepared for us in good time. Whilst our car was a second hand purchase, we were treated as though we were buying a new top of the range vehicle. Overall, the customer service was excellent and we would definitely do business with MTM again.

Ah! If only all car sales and repair garages were like this one!! I have always found all the staff pleasant and helpful whenever I need to visit, be it for a flat tyre, a minor bump and an M.O.T. or service. Nothing ever appears to be too much trouble and they always seem to "fix" my situation and needs a.s.a.p. Recently I considered changing my 14yr old gear shift V40, possibly looking to try an automatic for the first time!! I visited MTM Cumbers (which I have used for the past 10years or so) a few times to see what was available. Each time I was courteously shown around their current vehicle selection, taken for drives, or given the cars to drive for myself. After several visits I settled on a Volvo S60 automatic. I was talked through all the operational systems and agreed a part exchange value etc:, and have continued to receive follow up calls and excellent after-sales care and assistance.

Living close to MTM Motors it was easy to keep an eye on new arrivals as well as on their comprehensive website. I have used the garage which is part of Cumbers (JW Motors) for servicing and was always happy with service. It was easy to see Mark in MTM and view the car I bought which was non-Volvo and I was never under pressure to buy and was allowed to take time to view and to test drive the car bought. Service was superb, jobs which were asked to carry out as part of the sale were done perfectly and the preparation for sale was the best I have ever seen - first-rate!

Straight Forward & Honest.
After finding a car with the spec & price at a reasonable price and distance we read the existing reviews. The reviews were very favourable and alleviated many worries. I contacted Mark and Terry by Email. There ensued a telephone conversation; unable to get over to view the car due to work commitments I was offered a low deposit/one visit view and pick up subject to viewing the car was mine or I could turn it down. I needn't have worried, the car lived up to its description. Looking around their stock they all look well prepared, which beats many second hand dealers with battered wheel rims etc. I would buy another from MTM even though they are an hour away but for now have to concentrate on stopping my wife checking their current stock for a her new car.
